Publishing Recruitment Consultant

Atwood Tate is looking for a new Publishing Recruitment Consultant to join our friendly team in the London office.  You’ll be a self-motivated individual who is well organised and client focused, keen to work with a range of book and journal publishers and helping people find jobs across print and digital publishing.

 

Key duties:

  • Liaising with a wide range of publishers including Academic, Educational, Professional, Trade and STM
  • Placing candidates into jobs across a range of job types and levels
  • Take on new job briefs and proactively work to get new jobs in
  • Writing adverts and candidate summaries
  • Shortlist and register candidates ensuring you have a regular pool of strong candidates available
  • Keep accurate records using our excellent integrated database and website
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments; attend networking events; visit clients

 

Experience / skills required:

  • A background in publishing is essential – this is one of our USPs that ensures you will understand the roles you will be working on and is a key benefit to our clients
  • You will ideally come from a sales / rights background and will be given a warm desk to work on but should be confident in your ability to bring in new business
  • Good relationship-building and communication skills including a confident telephone manner
  • Great multi-tasking skills and excellent time management
  • Good organisation skills and strong IT skills
  • A good sense of humour
  • Previous recruitment experience is not essential as we offer full training in the recruitment process
