Internally known as Translation Rights Coordinator we are looking for an ambitious individual to join our Global Rights department. For this role you will be providing administrative support, including running reports on activity and revenue, for the International Rights Manager.

In addition, you will also be providing support for the wider International Rights team’s licensing activities and to licence content in selected territories

Publishing / Rights Administrator Role Activities:
 
> Submit titles to customers for review, in cooperation with other team members of the international rights team and our channel marketing manager
> Enter in the Global Rights Database (GRD) details of new licensing contracts agreed by members of the international rights team in order for contracts and invoices to be generated
> Update the Global Rights Database (GRD) regularly with customer information, new translation requests etc. To Run reports, as needed, that help inform Rights team and others within the company about activities and opportunities and results
> Provide licensees with details of third party permissions, which they will need to re-clear for their translations
> License selected content in territories as agreed with the Line Manager, International Rights
> Provide a central point of contact for internal and external rights enquiries, e.g. internal auditors, authors etc
> Assist Translations Team with their preparations for book fairs, including scheduling diary appointments, preparing meeting packs and support material, and to attend book fairs as appropriate
> Ensure that all records are kept up-to-date and easily accessible at all times.
> Process licensees’ sample publications and ensure their compliance with contractual terms
> Ensure efficient flow of work in manager’s absence from office 

Publishing / Rights Administrator Selection Criteria:

> Must have an understanding of how rights and licensing works in general
> Has previous experience of working in a rights or contracts department 
> Can understand the unique needs of translation licensees and potential licensees (Desirable)
> Is fluent in at least one other European language (Desirable)
> GCSE English & Maths or equivalent to Grade C or above
> Data Entry Experience
