Publishing Sales Manager

This Publishing Sales Manager vacancy is an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager with experience in journals and digital publishing to join a prestigious STM society publisher. Based in central London with some travel, the Publishing Sales Manager will also play a key role as a senior member of the publishing team.

 

Key duties:

  • Devise and implement journal, eBook and print book sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in the academic and research market, including corporate institutions, library consortia and the international book trade
  • Manage and support international sales agents and manage distributor arrangements
  • Line manage and lead a team of three and monitor revenue targets and performance
  • Manage agreed budget and participate in price reviews and pricing strategies

Experience / skills required:

  • Established publishing sales experience, particularly in journals and digital products for the academic and research market
  • A solid understanding of the STM publishing market
  • An understanding of journals subscriptions and renewals procedures
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Willing to travel nationally and internationally
