Our client, a leading information provider to the academic, government and corporate sectors, requires a Regional Governmental Sales Manager to cover France and Belgium.

Our client is looking for a Regional Governmental Sales Manager to be based in and cover France and Belgium. The successful candidate will identify and research new business opportunities, manage existing relationships through subscription renewals and account management visits, understand customer needs and actively engage with organizations within the specified territories.

Key responsibilities of the Regional Governmental Sales Manager will be:

  • To manage a defined set of customers within the governmental sector across France and Belgium.
  • To consistently meet and exceed set revenue targets within the specified sectors, through new sales, and cross selling and up selling to existing accounts.
  • To proactively seek to understand customers’ needs through account management and present/develop our products offering accordingly in order to capitalize on opportunities to sustain revenue growth.
  • To identify customers who could benefit from our other products and develop them into new sales.
  • To develop strong business relationships with sector bodies to communicate any relevant information to internal colleagues and external customers as appropriate.
  • Owns the assigned territory and individual account plan coordination, working closely with product specialists, trainers, and renewal teams to develop an overall account plan to grow long term revenue.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Track record in developing new business and of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience in solution based sales in the online information/publishing industry
  • Appreciation of internet and intranet applications and emerging web technologies
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English
  • Experience influencing and selling to the executive level decision-maker.

Driving licence will be necessary, whilst it is essential that candidates have demonstrable experience of success within a direct sales role within the publishing or information industries.
