Regional Sales Director - Corporate

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven sales leader to join a global information and technology provider as their Regional Sales Director for Corporate customers.

Through the leadership and execution of a sales strategy across an assigned territory, the Regional Sales Director will provide the best products available for corporate customer libraries to manage their collections and empower researchers to discover the content they need. The main responsibilities of the role include;

  • Leading sales teams in driving account retention, expansion and acquisition.
  • Collaborating with peer Sales Directors to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Developing revenue forecast, territory design and resource planning for sale of all products.
  • Overseeing complex deals.
  • Hiring, motivating, managing and developing a team of sales professionals.
  • Participating in the design of incentive compensation programs.
  • Providing input to create and shape new product development and enhancements.
  • Leading regional sales meetings.
  • Partners with publishing and marketing to support sales efforts.
  • National and international travel is required for the successful execution of the role.

The successful applicant will be a proven sales leader with demonstrable experience of being able to hire and manage top talent. They will have strong forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and planning skills with the ability to analyse and draw meaningful conclusions from data. They will have experience of negotiating large scale contracts in the global arena and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of selling to corporate customers is essential.
