Regional Sales Manager (Germany)
Do you have extensive STEM publishing sales experience in Germany and covering the DACH regions? We are looking for a home-based Sales Manager living in Germany to join a STEM/professional association publisher to generate new leads, win back lapsed customers and develop new business for their publishing and content products across the DACH region.
Key duties:
- Responsible for lead generation, winning back lapsed business and new business development across the DACH region
- Manage the sales cycle and pipeline for publishing and content products with both direct and indirect customers and vendor partners
- Support sales activity through the requested deployment of product experts
- Provide market and competitor feedback, prospects, sales reports, revenue forecasting data as required
- Travel within the region and internationally to attend tradeshow/exhibit and complete customer visits
Experience / skills required:
- Extensive STEM publishing experience, including A&I (abstracting & indexing) database sales
- Experience of managing an extensive Academic customer portfolio
- Previous experience selling into the German SME market, as well as working with larger companies
- Experience selling into government would be advantageous but is not essential
- You will be based in Germany or the DACH region and can expect to be on the road for up to three days a week, plus travel to the UK three to four times per year
