Rights Executive

 

A leading Educational publisher based in central London is looking for an experienced Rights Executive to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your career in rights.

 

Key duties:

  • Responsible for permissions licensing and selling translation and English language rights
  • Develop excellent customer relationships, grow translation and reprint rights internationally
  • Work with the Rights Manager to develop permissions policies
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and create marketing plans for key titles
  • Update all rights information, work with colleagues to produce Rights Guides
  • Attend major book fairs and organise sales trips

Experience / skills required:

  • Experience of selling translation rights and licensing permissions, ideally in academic publishing
  • Proven experience in negotiating and producing licensing agreements
  • Commercially aware with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced with databases and spreadsheets
  • This role will require international travel
