Sales Manager (EMEA)

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join a respected STM and academic publisher in central London. You will oversee the sales budgets and prospecting for a portfolio of print and electronic books and journals in the EMEA region. 

 

Key duties:

  • Oversee all sales prospecting, including lead generation and follow up
  • Manage accounts and customer renewals
  • Manage sales budgets for the EMEA region
  • Act as the primary EMEA liaison with vendors and resellers
  • Identify and develop new business partnerships
  • Develop and maintain communication networks with managers in the Americas and Asia-Pacific

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid sales experience in STM or academic publishing
  • Significant experience selling to libraries, either direct or via booksellers
  • Skilled at developing and managing customer relationships
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Good understanding of current STM publishing trends and issues
