Sales Manager, Trade & Specials, Collins Learning

Purpose of the Role   

                   

To be the key contact for designated customer base for Collins Learning products, managing all aspects of sales and distribution plus be central contact for Collins Learning non-trade business globally.

 

Key activities will include:

 

Develop and maintain good relationships with staff at all levels within customer base.

 

Meet and exceed sales targets set at the beginning of the year, and throughout.

Provide regular updated forecasts during each month as to performance against sales targets.

Regularly monitor and analyse sales data for customer base.

Seek out and feedback information/knowledge to keep HarperCollins informed of market developments.

Actively look for new business opportunities and work with HC editorial and production team to come up with creative uses for existing content.

Maintain discount/margin guidelines to ensure maximum possible contribution to divisional profitability.

Be central contact and ensure joined-up approach to Collins Learning specials business in the UK and internationally to maximise opportunities and profitability.

Manage the distribution strategy of products to the non-trade market as a whole, in conjunction with line manager.

 

We’re looking for a proactive and confident individual with significant account management experience within the publishing environment, with an existing network within non-trade UK accounts.
