Sales Support Manager, Fixed Term

We are looking for a highly efficient team player to oversee administrative support within our sales team; manage our publishing schedule; manage the Octopus relationship with the Hachette UK Rep Team; play a key role in our stock management and help to ensure data integrity in all our systems.  This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Sales Team at Octopus Publishing Group working on imprints across the group.

 

Reporting to the Group Sales & Marketing Director, this is a pivotal role in which you will coordinate all departments input into our publishing schedule and with management responsibility for two sales assistants, covering Nielsen Bookscan, stock control & reprints, and key account support. This is an excellent job for someone wanting to put their book industry experience to good use in a process-led role.

 

With a full understanding of the book publishing process, candidates should have at least 3 years’ experience in the book industry preferably in a role involving sales support, with previous experience in managing people, and experience using publishing systems.  You must be able to work with people at all levels, highly organised, a confident and proactive communicator and, above all, costumer focused.
