Science Communications Officer

We're working on an exciting Scientific Communications Officer position working on engaging scientific content for a global audience! Our client is focused on inspiring advances in biological sciences through their journals and digital content and they are now looking for a Scientific Communications Officer to enhance their digital content in China. Based in their Cambridge office, this role will:

  • Work collaboratively with editorial and marketing teams to create engaging, short-form online-based content across different platforms, including video interviews and features
  • Develop WeChat channels to engage Chinese audiences and future scientists
  • Help increase awareness of the company's charitable activities and grow the network of early-career researchers
  • Write engaging background pieces based on their grant recipients

The successful candidate will be able to create engaging scientific content to draw in readers, develop and grow the global social media presence in line with new initiatives and work across multiple platforms and mediums to disseminate content - including educational materials and video content.

You should have a background in biological sciences and relevant experience with the creation of scientific communication aimed at specialist and non-specialist audiences. Ideally, candidates have experience with metrics such as Google Analytics, and audio-visual editing tools. Chinese language skills are not essential, but a nice bonus to have. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
