Senior Designer

A leading publisher in Central London is looking for a Senior Designer to work on cover design for their Scholarly and Higher Education books and manage the Higher Education team. This is an excellent opportunity for a conceptually strong designer to join a creative team.

Key duties:

• Work on Jacket Design across Higher Education and Scholarly lists
• Manage two designers on Higher Education team
• Work closely with colleagues in London and overseas
• Ensure all systems are updated to maintain jacket workflow
• Aid Design Manager in ensuring quality, timeliness and accuracy in the cover design process

Experience / skills required:

• Strong experience in Cover Design
• Management or mentoring experience
• Expert knowledge of InDesign and Adobe CS and an understanding of processes and systems
• Creative with good organisational and time management skills
• A graphic design degree would be beneficial
