Senior Programme Manager (Education Resources)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Programme Manager to join an international publisher of examinations and materials for the schools and vocational education market.  You will provide leadership and management to a team of project managers and creatives developing teaching and learning resources.  The role can be based in Cambridge or Coventry.

 

Key duties:

  • Direct and guide the education resources team to deliver teaching and learning resources
  • Identify and implement strategies to increase commercial efficiency and improve quality of products and services
  • Provide creative direction and ensure best use of creative technology and its application
  • Maintain awareness of the education market and guide team to react in accordance with changes
  • Represent the resources team across the business, working closely with other senior managers
  • As required, select and negotiate with third party suppliers and publishing partners
  • Provide regular reports on the projects being managed by the team

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Established experience of developing educational teaching and learning resources
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills
  • A broad understanding of the education and educational publishing market
  • Experience of supplier selection, tendering and contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
