Senior Publicity Manager – Trade (9-12 month contract)

A leading trade publisher in Central London is looking for a Senior Publicity Manager to join them in December 2014 for a fixed term contract. Working on their award winning and high profile fiction and non-fiction books, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join a renowned name in trade books.

Key duties:

• Promote authors through all appropriate channels to ensure coverage
• Provide outstanding author care and build strong and lasting relationships with authors and press
• Create and write press materials
• Plan and execute print and online campaigns
• Organise and manage large scale author publicity events and tours
• Keep up to date with book market, identifying target readership/media and develop excellent awareness of business and trends in market place
• Build excellent relationships with authors, press contacts and agents
• Co-ordinate budgets and contribute to departmental and publishing strategy

Experience / skills required:

• Experience in trade publicity is essential
• In-depth media, market, customer and product knowledge
• Experience in planning and executing trade and consumer campaigns
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including excellent levels of author care
