Senior Publisher – International Education

Our client, one of the world’s largest education services companies, is looking for a Senior Publisher to commission innovative and market-appropriate resources for the global schools markets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader at the forefront of digital learning resources.

The Senior Publisher will be responsible for researching, commissioning and delivering the publishing plan, with an emphasis on digital content, whilst leading a small team of Commissioning Editors and overseeing an extensive range of publishing projects. The Key responsibilities of the role include;

• Researching the market(s) and competition.
• Leading a team of Commissioning Editors to deliver the publishing plans.
• Making sound and strategic investment proposals, focusing on digital & multimedia content.
• Contributing to and implementing effective strategy for list.
• Managing the financial performance of the list.
• Identifying, commissioning and managing authors and advisers.
• Maintaining an overview of the editorial, design, technical and production aspects of projects through all stages.
• Working with key stakeholders and customers in global regions.
• Travelling as required to attend conferences and stakeholder events in global regions.

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in international education publishing, with demonstrable line management and commissioning experience. They will possess strategic planning and market research skills as well as the ability to manage author relationships and assess project financials and profitability.
