Senior Publisher (International Schools)

A leading global publisher of educational products is recruiting for a new Senior Publisher to work on an exciting new project publishing for International Qualifications. This is a strategic role, including both active commissioning and line management responsibilities. The role is based in their Oxford office with some international travel.

Key duties:

• Develop innovative and market-appropriate resources for global schools markets
• Take responsibility for delivering on time and to budget our ambitious publishing plan
• Research, commission and oversee an extensive range of publishing projects
• Manage the financial performance of the list and contribute to ongoing team publishing strategy
• Lead a small team of Commissioning Editors to research and deliver publishing plans
• Take on an area of commissioning responsibility

Experience / skills required:

• Proven team management and significant commissioning experience is essential for this role
• You must have demonstrable experience of digital and print publishing business
• You will have proven experience of acquiring/commissioning materials in print and digital format
• A background in educational publishing is highly desired
• You must have experience of strategic planning and market research
• Experience of working in international schools markets is highly desired
