Leading scientific publisher is searching for a driven and talented Senior Publishing Editor to join their STM journals team and be responsible for the Publishing performance of multiple journals.

Our client; an industry leading STM publisher is looking to recruit a Senior Publishing Editor to join their team. This fantastic opportunity involves formulating and delivering strategies and creating market leading titles.

The key responsibilities of the Senior Publishing Editor role include:

• Ensuring the very best scientific content is delivered.
• Maximising revenue by driving each journal to be the market leader in its field.
• Developing and deliver strategic plans and implementation tactics.
• Taking the lead on all publishing aspects of the titles and be responsible for achieving strategic objectives through agreed tactics.
• Being responsible for becoming the ‘face of the journal’ with top authors and to ensure they publish with our client.
• Line management and editorial coordination (50% of time).
• Occasional UK and international travel as defined by strategy.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Communication and networking skills.
• Degree educated within a scientific subject.
• Significantly experienced within STM publishing and detailed knowledge of the publishing process.
• Understanding of the publishing needs of research scientists, both in traditional and peer reviewed STM journals.
• Excellent time management, organisational, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and teamwork skills.
