Senior Publishing Editor
A highly prestigious medical society based in Central London are now seeking a Senior Publishing Editor to join their journal publications team.
The Senior Publishing Editor will take a leading role in optimising the presentation and delivery of all publications in helping to drive forward the continual improvement in the digital-first processes of their website, involving XML to online, print and tablet. A key element of this role will be getting to grips with the company, looking at how they structure their content and ensuring you are always enhancing user experience and search engine optimisation.
With experience in editing scientific or clinical copy to the highest editorial standards, the successful candidate will be adept in handling XML and working with the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Reader). In addition, the Senior Publishing Editor will be experienced in maintaining publishing schedules, including management of print and digital production as well as managing suppliers. You will also work closely the Managing Editor and Art Editor to use your aptitude for design and layout to contribute to ideas about flatplans and inserts.
