Special Sales Manager (illustrated Books)

Our client, a leading highly respected international illustrated book publisher seeks a Special Sales Manager to help develop new business and manage existing accounts across all the UK non-traditional book sectors.

You will be selling a varied range of excellent quality commercial illustrated adult & children's book and bestselling range of book related products that is perfect for both book and non-book markets as well as the gift sector.  

We are looking for experienced special sales candidates with a proven sales track record in managing non-trade sales and developing new business. Ideally you'll have experience working for a mass market book publisher or in related direct sales either as an Account Executive or Key Account Manager.

The dual focus of your role as Special Sales Manager is to seek new business opportunities across all retail, high street and specialist gifting accounts in what is now an established and growing market sector. And the other part of your role is managing and developing the existing and growing client base.

 Good people and key account management skills are important in this role, as well as the ability to motivate yourself and manage a varied workload well and be able to thrive under pressure. 

In return, you'll be working in a buzzy publishing sales and marketing environment selling a great range of quality commercial books. You'll also receive a good competitive salary plus a generous bonus potential, and you will be based in Central London.
