Science Commissioning Editor

An award-winning and rapidly growing educational technology company in Oxford is looking for a Science Commissioning Editor to research the needs of secondary school teachers across these subjects and to develop online teaching and learning resources.

Key duties:

  • Manage Science, Mathematics, Computer Science products
  • Developing the STEM content to meet teachers' needs
  • Communicate with teachers to understand their needs and market trends
  • Plan, write and analyse campaigns and promote the company’s products
  • Nurture subject evangelists and work on a referral process
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager, Operations Director, Marketing Manager and Product Director

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid editorial project management or commissioning background
  • Some subject knowledge in sciences is required (biology/chemistry/physics to A level or equivalent)
  • Experience in marketing research within the education sector
  • Proven content delivery experience
  • Goal-driven and flexibility to work in a smaller organisation
  • Passionate about providing the best teaching and learning resources
