Strategic Communications Advisor
Our client, a leading not for profit organisation based in Oxfordshire requires a Strategic Communications Advisor to deliver a range of integrated marketing and communications activities across their open platform.
Key Accountabilities
- Produce strategies and plans that will guide the Secretariat’s work of communicating key Open Data messages.
- Developing a tool kits of communication resources for partners including talking point, presentations and collateral
- Events management for international events and exhibitions including developing and delivering communication strategies around event, preparing and managing presentations and collateral for conferences and exhibitions
- Deliver integrated communication programmes including direct mail, e-marketing, online, events and social media.
- Develop brand guidelines.
- Writing press releases and liaise with media.
- Develop a media database and create and deliver a cultivation strategy of key global journalists and bloggers who are covering stories about open data in agriculture and nutrition.
- Keeping the website/s up to date.
- Developing SEO strategy for the website/s.
- Using and monitoring social media
Skills & Experience:
- Marketing and communications skills: Demonstrate expertise in integrated marketing communications campaigns.
- Excellent communicator: Articulate, persuasive and confident; provides clear, concise verbal and written communications. Openly communicates in an enthusiastic and motivated manner.
- Understands how to use Google Analytics and Paid Search Tools, AdwordsUsing Twitter, Facebook, and Linked-In for business purposes
- Organising conferences and/or attendance at exhibitions and events
- Webinars and online meetings
- Must be detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Aptitude with numbers and strong commercial acumen.
- Exceptional communication skills required
- Creative flair exemplified through proven track record of contributing to successful and innovative marketing campaigns.
- Maintain a degree of flexibility to working arrangements and have a ‘can do’ attitude
