Sub-Editor

We have an opportunity for a Sub-Editor with a well-established and rapidly growing education-focused organisation that has a real impact on the education sector through providing leaders across the country with relevant and up to date content and information. This role of Sub Editor is a full-time permanent position that offers remote / hybrid working (when their offices re-open they will be looking for the Sub-Editor to make occasional trips to their central London office).

As Sub-Editor you will be responsible for: editing digital content; rigorously checking content for accuracy and practical value; making excellent editorial decisions and prioritising work to make sure the content meets the needs of education leaders. The Sub-Editor will also work closely with content writers to help support them and shape the content. You might for instance be Sub-Editing digital content directed to a School Governor by providing an update on the latest information from the Department of Education, ensuring the content is easily digestible and tailored to their needs.

This role provides the perfect opportunity to support the Education sector through working for this fantastic organisation with a huge social impact. The ideal Sub-Editor will have strong experience Sub-Editing digital content, including good editing, proofreading and fact checking skills, and ideally possess an understanding of, or interest in, the schools education sector (in England). You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and have a keen eye for detail.
