Technical Account Manager

Our client, a global provider of software and services to the information and publishing industry, is seeking a self motivated, top class Account Manager for their Oxford office - working remotely in the first instance, they will be looking to return to the office once restrictions allow.

The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for troubleshooting any client issues that come through, these could be minor technical issues that you will be able to resolve directly through to more complex issues where you will work alongside Developers and Solutions Architects. You will have demonstrable experience of problem solving as well as excellent analytical skills and will quickly establish strong working relationships with customers. The successful candidate will become the "go to" resource and primary point of contact within the company and will be a creative and hard-working individual.

The ideal applicant will ideally come with some technical knowledge, including experience working with technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and HTTP. Familiarity with one or more programme languages such as Java, C/C++ or Python alongside any exposure to tools like JIRA or Confluence would be an advantage. You will be able to demonstrate strong project management skills, and the ability to work under pressure to multiple deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must; with a history of building and owning relationships with stakeholders and the ability to learn new products and technology quickly. Any experience in the publishing industry and in online journal or book production would be a bonus in applying for this role.

If you are able to combine a customer facing role with a technical mindset, we would love to hear from you!

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
