Technical Account Manager, Information Services
We are looking for someone with a background library science and / or information management with excellent customer service skills. Our client is a leading information services provider and they are looking for a Technical Account Manager to based in the field, ideally in the South East of the UK.
The purpose of the role is to create, implement and support the best technology plan to deliver an excellent user experience for content search platforms for the higher education market. You will be involved in creating tailored plans in line with customer needs ensuring that the products are user friendly and conducive to learning. To do this effectively, you’ll use a range of metadata to inform development decisions, conduct pre-sales meetings and supporting the trial process. This is a technical position and you will provide consultation to clients from start to finish including focus groups, product demonstrations and relationship building.
This role will suit someone who is passionate about creating the best possible user experiences for customers, who has excellent stakeholder management skills and customer service skills. The successful candidate will have had experience in a similar role before and have knowledge of tools such as HTML, JavaScript, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), MARC and XML. Experience within the academic library field will be very important.
