Temp Content Managers (Books and eBooks)

An academic publisher based in Cambridgeshire is looking for Content Managers to project manage the delivery of print books and digital titles across various subject areas. These are temporary roles to start immediately for approximately 2 months with possible extensions.

Key duties:

  • Project manage titles from receipt of manuscript to handover to production

  • Evaluate manuscripts

  • Write and copy edit blubs

  • Liaise with authors and contributors

  • Data entry and administrative tasks

  • Update and maintain systems and databases

  • Uploading content for eBook production, checking content and identifying problems

  • Briefing designers and ordering cover artwork

     

Experience / skills required:

  • Previous experience in production/editorial role, preparing manuscripts for production

  • Previous experience with digital content

  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong IT skills
