Temp Global Account Manager

A proactive and enthusiastic Account Manager is required by a leading international academic publisher based in their London offices. You will be responsible for achieving revenue targets through the account management of pharmaceutical accounts and contribute to the reprints target and the journals strategy plans. This is a temporary position expected to run until December 2015 and is to cover while they recruit for the position permanently.

 

Key duties:

  • Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets for reprint sales by sourcing, pitching and meeting with brand managers across account list
  • Managing and upselling inbound requests to maximise revenue from the suite of available products and projects
  • Warm and cold call new prospects and maintain relationships with previous customers for upsell opportunities
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities
  • Keep appraised of industry developments and publications
  • Attend conferences where necessary
  • Develop relationships with and meet with pharmaceutical publication managers and medical communication agencies to encourage content submissions to publications

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry/medical publishing is preferred
  • B2B sales and experience of cold calling
  • Target driven
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM systems ideally Salesforce.com
  • Ability to negotiate with strong communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and customer focussed
