Temporary Production Controller

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with Book Production experience to join a world leading Educational Publisher in Central London as a Production Controller. The publisher offers flexible, remote or hybrid working as part of this role which is an initial 3 month fixed-term contract (with the possibility for extension). As Production Controller, you will join a busy, friendly and supportive team and be responsible for a large and varied print and digital production list, covering all production stages of title creation from pre press to print / digital monitoring including the creation and maintenance of schedules, through Biblio 3, and raising of estimates, costings and print/purchase orders, in order to achieve target dates. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the production systems, and be able to represent production in meetings, relaying information in a professional and influential manner. An essential part of this role is ensuring the business quality standards are adhered to at all times, with all necessary quality checks being carried out at all stages of the production process, and any problems rectified quickly and efficiently.

The Production Controller role will be a great opportunity for someone with existing Production experience in a print and/or digital publishing setting.The successful candidate for this role will be driven, self-motivated and ambitious, able to think on their feet and have a creative and proactive approach. Someone who is process driven, always looking for improvement, and able to work independently but collaboratively will be great for this role, as well as someone who is ambitious in wanting to help drive the organisation forward.
