Manager Audiobook FR, NL and emerging markets

Salary: GBP 37.000 – 40.000 – depending on experience

Office: Flexible home working – 2 days per week in the office

This is a full time, permanent role, based in London, with flexibility to work from home each week.

As a pivotal member of our international development team, you'll support with strategies to expand our presence in the French and Dutch markets, cultivate partnerships with publishers, manage publisher catalogues and coordinate our international events programme. With a focus on relationship building, you'll nurture existing partnerships while actively seeking new opportunities for growth, and your publishing expertise will be instrumental in developing our offerings to a global audience. Key Tasks:

Publisher Management:

  • Foster relationships with new and existing partners, exploring additional business avenues.
  • Tailor persuasive pitches to potential publishers, addressing their specific needs
  • Coordinate with partners to resolve distribution issues and ensure accurate metadata for audiobook titles.
  • Manage co-production budgets and identify lucrative partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and handle publisher challenges.
  • Researching and co-negotiating with key new audiobook services in the French and Dutch markets.
  • Assist senior management in tendering processes and contract renewals

Marketing:

  • Manage and plan special promotions on key titles across our Lismio marketing channels (social media, app, webapp)
  • Plan and manage the budget for French and Dutch marketing campaigns
  • Manage relationships and work with external freelancers to design assets for press kits.
  • Pitch monthly highlights and seasonal promotions to our key digital sales platforms (DSPs)
  • Manage the curation of our Spotify profiles.
  • Create, analyse, and report on the performance of strategic social media plans to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Support for Legal and Operations:

  • Collaborate with legal teams to finalise agreements and onboard new publishers.
  • Work with content operations teams to streamline content delivery processes.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on market and revenue progression.
  • Compile monthly management reports and review quarterly royalty reports.

The ideal candidate will bring following skills and knowledge:

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with our French and Dutch publishers and various partners and stakeholders
  • You’ll bring market curiosity and are results-driven, always looking for new opportunities
  • A strong confident communicator, whether that’s negotiations, pitching and presenting, or working collaboratively with internal teams
  • Experience working in the publishing industry and knowledge of the audiobook sector is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stake projects & prioritise tasks
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities
  • English must be your first language for effective communication. Fluency in one or more foreign languages is highly desirable.
