Senior Marketing Manager – Academic Publishing

Due to continued growth, our client has an exciting and varied marketing opportunity to manage a team of marketers who oversee the planning and implementation of marketing activities for the Libraries channel.  Your role will be responsible for turning strategic direction into successful practice and being the local expert in the department of libraries. This is a role that requires experience of managing and developing a small team.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting revenue and budget spend targets for the team
  • Lead, performance manage and develop the team to ensure a high-performance culture
  • Implementation of the marketing strategy
  • Deliver confident, engaging and effective presentations
  • Represent the business internally/externally
  • Manage systems and processes to ensure management information and data, to analyse individual activities and products and make evidence-based recommendations for changes

 

The successful candidate will have breadth of experience across the industry and experience in managing and developing a team. You will have a demonstrable awareness of key commercial issues such as profitability, growth, strategy evaluation and selection and be a person who focuses on commercial results. You should be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and problem solving skills as well as a passion for marketing.
