Children’s Senior Editor

Our client, a trade publisher of non-fiction books based in London, is looking for a Senior Editor to join their Children’s team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Editor looking to step up, join a small and friendly team and work on a range of Children’s illustrated puzzle, practical art, novelty and non-fiction titles.

Key duties:

  • Edit and project manage a range of children’s books from fiction to puzzle, arts and reference titles
  • Work closely with external and internal collaborators to ensure the content is clear and appropriate for the targeted audience
  • Work closely with designers, give clear visual feedback and contribute to the design and illustrations
  • Contribute to the development of new product ideas from conception to completion
  • Ensure books are produced on time and to budget

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience in an editorial role with children’s books in  trade publishing
  • Excellent editorial skills and good knowledge of chiders trade market
  • Strong project management skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change
  • Good communication skills and experience working closely with other departments and external collaborators
