Digital Publishing Manager

A prestigious scientific society publisher in central London has an opening for a Digital Publishing Manager. This is a maternity cover role and you will be responsible for managing online products and services as well as their publishing platform. This role would someone with good knowledge of STM journal publishing and strong project and supplier management skills.

Salary is c. £42,000 depending on experience.

Key duties:

  • Develop and implement the annual digital systems strategy and digital content roadmaps
  • Plan and deliver cross-departmental projects on schedule and within budget
  • Manage the STM Journals hosting platform and improve service for users
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee vendor agreements
  • Keep abreast of new industry trends and technologies
  • Recommend changes to digital processes and procedures and identify areas for development
  • Contribute to departmental budgeting

Experience / skills required:

  • Knowledge of STM journal publishing processes
  • Knowledge of XML, HTML, website management and electronic publishing
  • Experience managing web-based development projects
  • Strong project management skills
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to solve problems
