Journal Launch Managers x2 (Physical Sciences & Engineering & Health)

We have two fantastic new opportunities for Journal Launch Managers to join a leading open access publisher and work in their London office. This is an exciting time to join this innovative and technology driven scientific publisher in a period of huge growth. Each of these roles will manage a portfolio of new Physical Sciences & Engineering journal and Healthcare section launches.

Key duties:

  • Manage of portfolio of new journals and sections and monitor team progress
  • Use competitor and market analysis to oversee the journal and section launches
  • Manage and develop a team in journal launching 
  • Report to the Journal Programme Manager to ensure policies and procedures are updated
  • Work closely with internal teams to operate journal launches
  • Represent the company externally at international conferences
  •  Conduct market research and study industry trends

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven experience in journal launching or commissioning within STM environment 
  • A background in Physical Sciences or Engineering or Healthcare is essential
  • Solid project management with line management experience
  • Ability to digest information and prioritise workload
  • Top-level communication skills 
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms
