Project Editor

We are looking for a Project Editor to join the content department of a dynamic professional organisation in the field of best practice management based in Central London. Working as part of a small and friendly team, this is an excellent opportunity to manage the editorial publication process of a high quality portfolio. Please note that this is a 12 month fixed-term contract to start in February ideally.

Key duties:

  • Ensure all print and digital publications are published on time and to budget
  • Oversee, edit and proof read all content to maintain high quality editorials standards
  • Work with the content team to produce high quality content across portfolios
  • Collaborate closely with authors aiming for the timely delivery of products while maintaining successful working relationships

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience in an editorial or production editorial role within professional/educational publishing
  • Strong copyediting, proofreading skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking skills and ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Confident communication skills and ability to manage author relationships
  • Self-motivated problem solving attitude with excellent analytical and prioritising skills
  • Knowledge of InDesign is desirable
