Publicist – Art Books

Are you a publicist with a passion for art and experience in non-fiction publishing?  This Publicist vacancy with a well-respected international university press in London is a fabulous opportunity to develop and implement publicity campaigns for an exciting range of art books and to work with prestigious museum and distribution partners.

Key duties:

  • Create and implement publicity campaigns for assigned titles
  • Secure coverage and reviews across print and online media to promote the list and drive sales
  • Build relationships with authors and museum and distribution partners
  • Work closely with colleagues to share ideas and coordinate plans
  • Organise and attend author events at literary festivals and galleries 

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven track record of publicising non-fiction books
  • Good contacts in print and online media and proven success generating media coverage
  • Team oriented and excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and creative approach to identifying and and leveraging publicity opportunities
  • Some experience of managing author PR
  • An interest in the art world and the art book market would be beneficial
