Senior Foreign Rights Manager (Germany/Benelux)

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Foreign Rights Manager to join a leading independent trade publisher. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business in the European markets. This is permanent role based in London and will include some travelling.

 

Key duties:

  • Maximise front and back lists rights and co-edition sales to Germany and Benelux territories
  • Work closely with the Head of Rights to set sales targets and monitor progress
  • Develop strategies on a country by country basis and analyse local markets
  • Research market and trends and identify prospective new customers and channels
  • Present tittles and develop viable publishing proposals and market reports

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid International Sales/Rights experience within trade publishing, ideally with the European markets
  • Experience with similar territories and knowledge of the German language would be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Positive attitude and commercial acumen
  • Willingness to travel
