Senior Manager, Exams Publishing

This Senior Publishing Manager role is a rare opportunity to join a prestigious international organisation and to contribute leadership and publishing management skills at an exciting time of transition.  Heading the publishing team, the Senior Manager will have overall responsibility for the publication of print and digital assessment materials and will lead the transition to on-screen resources which is already underway.

 

Key duties:

  • Responsible for the publication of print and digital examination materials
  • Manage and motivate a high-performance team, including leading on change management to ensure engagement
  • Ensure assessment materials are delivered free of errors and on time and to budget
  • Responsible for the production and implementation of detailed workflows and project plans
  • Accountable for quality assurance of published material in original format and translated edition
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and oversee purchasing and implementation of new technology solutions

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven success in a leadership role in print and digital publishing
  • Extensive experience of managing publishing and multi-media teams
  • Experience of managing teams through transition from print to onscreen publishing
  • First-class project management abilities and communication skills
  • Experience of working in educational or assessment publishing would be advantageous
  • Experience of working on translation projects and knowledge of a second European language is desirable
