Travel Editor

Our client is a global publisher specialising in travel guides books for the national and international market. We are looking for a Travel Editor to join their friendly and busy team based in London and work on a number of print and digital travel and language titles.

Key duties:

  • Commissioning and manage full book projects from conception to publication
  • Maintain good and sustainable relationships with authors and clients
  • Assist the Managing Editor with new title and content ideas for the list development
  • Copy-edit and ensure that all content is accurate and complies with the in-house style
  • Manage multiple overlapping projects and priorities and ensure they remain on schedule

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid commissioning and editorial experience within trade nonfiction publishing
  • Proven editorial and project management skills, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated and results driven
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
