Academic Print Inventory Manager

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity to join Bloomsbury’s dynamic Sales Operations team as an Academic Inventory Manager. You will be responsible for managing the inventory and print on demand program for the Academic list from first print to end of life, ensuring stock availability for the list in the UK, US and Australia whilst achieving budgeted KPI targets.

 

The Role

  • Managing the Academic print list, working closely with our sister companies in the US and Australia to ensure global stock availability.
  • Managing the list from first print to end of life, and maintaining close working relationships with other departments and our distribution warehouse.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the print list, running and providing analysis for the fortnightly reprint meeting, importing titles from our sister companies when necessary, release schedules and direct invoicing.

 

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

  • Experience working in a data heavy role and managing inventory across different territories
  • Previous experience in reprint analysis, working with print on demand titles, decision making and scheduling
  • Import and export experience within book publishing
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work independently at times
  • A working knowledge of Biblio and Vista or similar publishing system
  • An understanding of Academic publishing would be an advantage but full training will be provided
