The Opportunity
We are looking for an International Rights Assistant to join our thriving Rights team at Bloomsbury and provide general administrative support to the Rights Managers responsible for selling translation rights and co-editions for the Bloomsbury Adult lists. This would be a great first job in Publishing.
The Role
- Send out, receive and file all documentation and materials relating to the sale of rights and co-editions
- Log co-edition deal details and upload contracts to Biblio
- Maintain and update the co-editions schedule
- Liaise with all foreign publishers on co-edition fulfilment
- Respond to/liaise with internal and external queries/colleagues and customers
- Be first point of contact for the collation and production of the rights guides
- Preparation for and attendance at books fairs, as required
- Regular attendance of editorial meetings and learning to assess books’ suitability for international markets
- General admin support
Skills, Knowledge, Experience
- Good administrative and office organisation skills
- Confident communicator
- Experience of database entry and maintenance with high levels of accuracy
- Keen eye for detail
- Problem solving
- An interest in other countries and cultures
