Junior Designer/ Artworker, Book Publishing

The Opportunity

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and well-organised designer at a junior level to join its busy Adult Design team.

 The Role

• Assisting the Creative Director and senior members of the design team with their day-to-day requirements, including art work
• Designing covers for a wide range of titles across a brilliant publishing list under the supervision of the Creative Director
• Responsible for administrative duties   

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Strong Mac and design skills
• Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential
• Have lots of fresh ideas and be able to create exciting and innovative covers
• Good publishing and book market awareness
• Well-organised, attentive to details
• Proven art working skills preferable
• Illustration skills welcome
