Marketing Executive – Bloomsbury Digital Resources

The Opportunity

We are looking for a creative self-starter with experience of marketing in academic publishing, particularly online product marketing, to join our Digital Resources team. Our new Marketing Executive will work closely with the marketing and sales departments to plan, develop and execute campaigns that further establish and enhance the Bloomsbury Digital Resources brand and that of our products.

The role reports in to the Associate Marketing Director.

The role

  • Develop and implement global integrated marketing strategy for assigned products including but not limited to:
    • Content Marketing
    • Social Media and Community
    • E-mail
    • Partnerships
    • Event strategy/conference marketing
    • Digital Marketing
    • Advertising
  • Create and develop marketing materials that best position our products in the marketplace, advance our sales efforts, and adhere to branding guidelines
  • Conduct detailed market research that informs all areas of the business on critical areas including market universe by product
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns across channels that results in maximum end user engagement and enhances our social media presence in the market
  • Provide feedback that helps develop and execute departmental strategy and processes
  • Liaise with other departments, especially Sales, Product Management, Product Development, and Editorial, ensuring open and effective communication

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years online product experience within academic publishing
  • Library/subscription product marketing experience
  • Domestic and international travel
  • Languages a plus

This is a permanent, full-time position based at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP.
