The Opportunity
Bloomsbury is looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our thriving and dynamic Children’s Production Department as Production Assistant.
This role will work on a prestigious backlist and is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain experience in a global award-winning publishing house who is interested in a career in Production.
The Role
- Processing reprints on our Education and US colour lists
- Generate costings for reprints and special sales deals
- Manage printed stock delivery process ensuring our warehouse and freight forwarder know what stock is arriving and when
- Updating backlist eBooks when required
- Providing administrative support to the team
- Ensuring all projects are produced on schedule, to high quality standards and within controlled budgets
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Completed a publishing course which included an element of print production training
- Knowledge of MS Office is essential and familiarity with Adobe products and Biblio 3 would be an advantage
- Meticulously organised
- Keen eye for detail and a good head for numbers
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude, thrives within a team environment
This is a full-time permanent role based in our beautiful London offices (50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP).
