Digital Key Account Executive

Role overview

This is a newly created role to support the rapid growth and success of our online sales presence. This is a sales role and the successful candidate will work across both the adult and children’s publishing lists. The role will work closely with marketing, publicity and editorial as well as the wider trade sales team. This is a customer-facing role and would suit someone already in a publishing sales position looking for the next step in their career. This role will help further grow and develop all Bonnier Books UK ebook and online sales with all online vendors. The successful candidate will work on sales planning, targeting as well as implementing promotions, driving sales and reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Management of online accounts; work on strategic initiatives with retailers to grow revenue

  • Regular sales reporting; keeping the company up to date on promotional activity

  • Forecast and budget by customer when required

  • Provide competitor activity and suggest new product opportunities

  • Provide feedback for acquisitions as required

  • To experiment and analyse price on ebooks and report best commercial recommendations

  • Attend book fairs, regular meetings and conferences

  • Ability to liaise with any issues in relation to supply chain management

  • Identify focus titles and prioritise activity to build into future brands;

  • Build strong working relationships with the publishing teams and assist with developing plans to drive strategy forward from a sales perspective

  • Regular meeting attendance; represent the digital pov at meetings

  • Deputise for the Head of Digital sales in their absence
