Marketing Manager (Adult Non-Fiction)

An exciting opportunity has opened up in the Bonnier Books UK communications team for an innovate marketing professional. The role will focus on the adult non-fiction list, which publishes across a variety of themes and genres including music, sports, celebrity, gift books, humour, lifestyle, cooking and true crime.

Working closely with the communications director for adult non-fiction, the candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing and organising marketing campaigns for all titles across this list. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative team.

Role responsibilities:

Duties of this role will include (but are not limited too):

  • Creating and delivering effective campaign strategies across the adult non-fiction list.
  • Liaising with editorial, sales, publicity and digital marketing teams across the Bonnier Books UK group.
  • Implementing strategic paid digital marketing campaigns for social media.
  • Maintaining the Amazon pages for adult non-fiction titles and managing paid campaigns for this platform.
  • Briefing various media and design agencies for print and outdoor marketing.
  • Developing and implementing influencer outreach content marketing strategies.
  • Copywriting for advertising and other outgoing marketing material.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with media groups, magazines, agencies, online retail managers, influencers, bloggers, book review publications (both print and online) and individual book reviewers.

Skills & experience:

  • At least 18 months marketing experience in a publishing house or similar.
  • Has been involved in developing high-profile marketing campaigns, with a strong understanding of the commercial and literary non-fiction publishing industry.
  • A creative thinker, innovative and steady under pressure.
  • Organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task.
  • Experience and knowledge of contemporary digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong communication ability when working with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders, including authors, agents, booksellers, influencers and internal colleagues.
