Bonnier Zaffre is looking for a Children’s Marketing Manager! Please note, this is a maternity cover contract.

 

We're looking for a Children’s Marketing Manager to develop and implement marketing plans for agreed titles, in line with the publishing strategy. You will work across   the full marketing mix including PR, digital and social, partnerships, promotions and events.  In addition; you will liaise with media buying agencies/ third party agencies when necessary to deliver effective campaigns. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage the Children’s marketing budget
  • Create appropriate sell in strategy and materials for home and international markets 
  • Oversee production of all branded materials - catalogues, POS and other promotional items 
  • Write and design presentations for key customers 
  • Build cost effective consumer ad campaigns and manage all aspects of campaigns from concept to execution
  • Take forward companywide strategy for consumer facing digital channels websites, including maintaining the unique position of both the BZ childrens imprints Hotkey and Piccadilly Press 
  • Work with national industry agencies and services e.g. Net galley, GoodReads etc
  • Support the acquisition process, develop  marketing plans in conjunction with publishers, sales and PR teams
  • Work with sales to budget and forecast marketing spends 
  • Work with PR and Digital to analyse campaign success.  Track and report results to key stakeholders
  • Support and grow our online communities
  • Develop consumer profiling and market research as requested
  • Work with editorial on cover briefs and cover copy 
  • Attend pitch meetings with authors and agents when required

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Proven experience in children’s and adult publishing in a similar role
  • Creative and innovative showing an ability to reach consumers with original campaigns 
  • Experience of managing a variety of marketing campaigns
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills 
  • Good knowledge of home and international markets
  • Highly commercial and ROI focused
  • Excellent negotiator

  • A can do attitude and ability to think differently
  • High energy levels and able to engage others and build strong relationships quickly
