Journals Assistant

Bristol University Press (BUP), the new university press announced in October 2016 encompassing the award-winning Policy Press (PP), is looking for a Journals Assistant to help us develop our journals list.

 

The Journals Assistant will provide administrative, editorial and marketing and sales support to the team and will work closely with the Senior Journals Executive to meet clear objectives.

 

The successful candidate will have strong clerical, IT and organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities. Independence and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines and accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.

 

Experience of working in an administrative or clerical role in a busy office environment is essential and ideally you will have some knowledge of journals publishing processes and an interest in marketing, sales and customer service.
