Publishing Project Manager (12 months)

About the role:

We are looking for experienced Project Managers to be responsible for the planning and project management of a range of print and digital educational products in a fast-paced and growing educational publishing business, with the mission of supporting students and teachers internationally.

Collaborating closely with colleagues from Publishing, Content, Design and Permissions, this role will involve managing strategically important titles from planning stage, through product development and endorsement reviews, and on to publication. It requires budget, schedule, risk and change management throughout product development, as well as supplier management through the production phase.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated delivery team tasked with driving projects forward and overcoming challenges in order to bring high quality materials to market within budget and target sales windows.

About you:

We are looking for calm, confident, proactive and driven individuals who collaborate well within project teams. You should be able to maintain a positive outlook while working on challenging projects.

In this role you will need to be highly organised, with excellent time management and workload management skills. You must have proven planning and project management competencies, and be an excellent communicator who has experience of supplier management.

Experience of publishing processes would be advantageous, as would any formal project management qualifications (such as APM or PRINCE2) and familiarity with project management tools and reports (for example at the Press we use, SmartSheet & Trello).
