This role will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director with a focus on pushing our products to reach even more readers. We have published several bestselling and acclaimed authors, but are looking to further build on our success. As our Sales Assistant you will be the day-to-day contact for all general sales queries, create sales packs, liaise with retailers and distributors, and review new and exisiting promotional opportunities, as well as providing valuable support for our sales agents, wholesalers and suppliers.

We are open about your experience and background, but experience in a sales-based role would be advantageous.

Summary

Provide support to the sales team across our ebook, print and audio products. Reports to Sales & Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Create monthly new releases information for retailers
  • Complete retailer grids for promotion submission
  • Assist with planning/proposing retailer and other special promotions
  • Report on sales figures, as requested by Sales & Marketing Director and the wider management team
  • Produce sales material for presentations and conferences
  • Assist with book pitches and agent/sales presentations
  • Provide catalogues samples and AIs for key account managers and sales reps/agents
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing Director with bespoke sales plans for Canelo titles
  • Analyse sales, review sales opportunities and make recommendations for growth areas as requested
  • Help liaise on print runs, reprints, stock control and customer invoicing
  • Create and maintain stock/order forms
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing Director in preparation for Book Fairs
  • Maintain an up-to-date customer list and contacts
  • Provide wider administrative support as requested by the Sales & Marketing Director
  • Be the primary contact for the sales team on all general enquiries, and ensure great customer service for our partners and readers.
