Production Manager (part-time, permanent)

Duckworth is an independent trade publisher of both non-fiction and fiction, and we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to work on a diverse and exciting range of titles. The role is part-time, for three days a week.
 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that books are produced on time, to a high standard and within budget. They will manage the day-to-day workflow of projects (new titles, reprints, digital editions), monitor suppliers’ costs, performance and quality, manage the production schedule from typesetting to print, and ensure the timely delivery of final text, cover and ebook files to printers and other suppliers.
 

The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of prepress and production tasks, and solid experience of Adobe Creative Suite applications, especially InDesign and Photoshop. You will be a strong communicator, organised and methodical, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
 

Based in our Shoreditch offices, you will work closely with the Editorial Director and Sales & Marketing Manager.
