Illustrated Editor, Ebury

Do you have a passion for beautiful books,  an unwavering eye for detail and thrive on being at the heart of a team? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and confident illustrated editor.

Ebury is the UK’s largest dedicated non-fiction publisher. This is a time of growth for our award-winning illustrated list.

We are the home of Yotam Ottolenghi, Mary Berry, Rick Stein and Johanna Batsford. From best-selling food and drink to standout gift, mindfulness and wellbeing, our Ebury Press and POP Press books are united by unique voices and high-quality content, which is beautifully communicated through eye-catching design.

With a passion for making standout books of the highest possible quality, you’ll have proven experience taking a book from concept to printed copy, with excellent editing and proofreading skills, a meticulous attention to detail, thoughtful communication skills, a feel for design and photography, and a talent for creative problem solving. As Editor you will be responsible for overseeing titles through the whole publishing process, liaising with authors, agents, freelancers, photographers, illustrators and designers.

If you have worked in a similar publishing environment, ideally with some cookery and lifestyle experience in the mix, and are looking for a chance to take your skills to the next level, we’d like to hear from you.

If you have worked in a similar publishing environment, ideally with a mix of lifestyle book experience, please apply by xxx with a CV and cover letter, and let us know about what recent non-fiction lifestyle books you wished you’d acquired or worked on and why.
